As part of the annual Jewish Community's Lend A Hand Touch A Heart, Friends of Alum Creek and Tributaries (FACT) is seeking volunteers to help remove invasive Honeysuckle bushes and clean up trash along the Alum Creek river, trail, and fields on Sunday, November 15 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Meet at the Pavillion shelter (near the furthest baseball field) behind the Jewish Community Center, 1175 College Avenue, Columbus 43209
Please wear work clothes and sturdy shoes or boots. Gloves, trashbags, beverages & some snacks provided to volunteers. If possible bring chain saws or long handled loppers.
The mission of Friends of Alum Creek and Tributaries (FACT) is to preserve and protect the quality and beauty of the Alum Creek watershed and promote environmentally responsible recreation, educational opportunities, and citizen participation at many levels. FACT is a local not-for-profit volunteer based organization serving as the environmental steward for the southern Alum Creek watershed within Franklin and Delaware counties.
