Avoid throwing out leaves and grass clippings to the curb for roadside collection. Easily recycle at home.Turn the "free stuff" into black gold or compost that will help grow your flower and vegetable gardens. Plus, save on fertilizer costs and avoid chemicals.
To learn how to organically compost, attend Friends of Alum Creek and Tributaries (FACT) one hour workshop on February 24. Dave Hohmann, FACT President, will provide guidance on the different types of composting, how to begin, and avoid common problems.

Participants* will receive for free a Presto "GeoBin" Composter Bin (capacity 1 cubic yard) and composting reference guide. These items are valued over $40.00 and are provided to registered participants as part of discounted workshop fee, thanks to the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) General Grant.
