LOCATION: Inniswood Metro Gardens - Innis House (940 S. Hempstead Rd., Westerville, OH)
Avoid throwing out leaves and grass clippings to the curb for roadside collection. Easily recycle at home.Turn the "free stuff" into black gold or compost that will help grow your flower and vegetable gardens. Plus, save on fertilizer costs and avoid chemicals.
To learn how to organically compost, attend Friends of Alum Creek and Tributaries (FACT) one hour workshop on Oct. 8. Mary Ann Brouillette, Communications Specialist from Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District, will provide guidance on the different types of composting, how to begin, and common problems to avoid.
