The Waste Not Center (www.wastenotcenter.org) is open 2-6 PM for members to shop for teaching, art and office supplies.
The Center receives donations of materials and supplies from businesses and individuals and makes them available to teachers, artists, and non-profit organizations that purchase a membership for a modest annual fee. Once the fee is paid, all items are free. In a year’s time some members obtain thousands of pounds of materials and supplies from the Center which they estimate to be worth several thousand dollars compared to what they would pay to purchase the items commercially.
Children under 16 are not permitted in the Center because space is limited and some items are breakable.
