COMMITTED Featuring USA Volleyball

Wednesday, May 22 - 11:30 AM

Columbus has a rich history hosting USA Volleyball events and as host to the USA Volleyball Open National Championships in May, we are honored to continue the tradition. Join us on May 22 with speakers Dr. Cecile Reynaud and Joan Powell, trailblazers and change-makers in the sport.

Dr. Reynaud is a former women’s volleyball head coach at Florida State University where she is currently a research associate for sport management. She was instrumental in the creation of SafeSport initiatives for USA Volleyball. Powell, a former volleyball athlete who led her team to three USA Volleyball Open National Championship titles and was selected as All-American five times by the national governing body, was the recent recipient of the Harold T. Friermood Award, the highest honor given by USA Volleyball.

Additionally, two-time paralympic medalist earning a Silver Medal in the 2012 London Paralympic Games and a Gold Medal in the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games, Kaleo Kanahele Maclay will join the COMMITTED panel alongside Danielle Scott, who has competed in five Olympic Games and is the USA Indoor Volleyball Olympic record-holder for number of appearances.
