Join us on the Thurber House lawn for a Summer Literary Picnic featuring Essayist and OSU Director of American Indian Studies Elissa Washuta. Elissa Washuta is a member of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe. In Her essay collection White Magic she writes about land, heartbreak, and colonization, about life without the escape hatch of intoxication, and about how she became a powerful witch.
