In this two hour class you'll get an overview of the history of contemporary experimental writing from the modernists through dada and up into hypertext and electronic experimentation. We'll read some examples to inspire us, and then we'll get to work with a variety of guided prompts and chance-based techniques to unlock new avenues in our writing. You'll leave the class with a repertoire of new techniques that you can carry forward and employ any time you could use a little extra inspiration.
