Kid Volunteering: Protecting the Planet

Saturday, September 14 - 10:00 AM

Who this In Person Event is for:

Ages 2-12. Adult caregivers are required to accompany child participants. Siblings of participants outside this age range are welcome but may find the event to be less meaningful and fulfilling.

What you’ll be doing:

Calling all Planet Protectors!!! Our planet needs you. Join Seeds of Caring as we team up with the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department to be part of the solution, not the pollution. Together, we will take action by picking up litter at a park, supporting local pollinators, and discussing ways your family can help care for our environment.

Specific instructions:

All supplies will be provided for the program. However, these are important notes to set your family up for success. Participants should wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, and clothes that can get messy. Please bring a water bottle and sunscreen for protection on sunny days. We also encouraged you to bring bug spray. Please note, that there will be times when we are walking in local waterways, we highly recommend rain boots or shoes that can get wet.

This is a free event!
