Developed for the Metropolitan Museum of Art and their 2016 exhibit “Jerusalem 1000-1400: Every People under Heaven,” the program weaves together ancient sacred music from Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The music you will hear represent echoes of religious practice that came into and out of focus in the richly intertextual, cross-pollinating “Middle Ages” of this Holy City. Schola Antiqua is a professional early music collective known for their innovative and captivating performances.
