Based in Indianapolis, the SUNSET STOMP JAZZ BAND was founded in 2010 by Robin Hopkins and Kathleen
Miller, and is named after the often overlooked Louis Armstrong tune, The Sunset Café Stomp. The band plays at big events all over the country, including Decatur Jazz Fest, Grugelfest (just recently), and the Suncoast Jazz Classic in Clearwater Beach FL. Plus they play for swing dance events at the Naptown Stomp, Indiana University, and Rose-Hulman's swing dance clubs, as well as frequent gigs at the Jazz Kitchen in Indianapolis. COHJS members $15, non-members $20, SwingColumbus Dance Club members $10, music students and music educators are free. BYOB but hot food, snacks, soft drinks, coffee and tea are available for purchase.
