Since its founding in 2018 by French lutenist Thomas Dunford, the Jupiter Ensemble has quickly established itself as a major force in the European early music scene.
Presenting an All Vivaldi program that weaves between operatic arias and concertos, it is a program not to be missed. Included is “Winter” from the Four Seasons, the “Lute Concerto in D major” with one of the most beloved Largo movements of all time, and the “utterly persuasive” mezzo-soprano voice of Lea Desandre.
In forming Jupiter, Mr. Dunford pulled together young and brilliant musicians of his generation and the result is “chamber music delightedly shared among friends.” (Gramophone)
